Dr. S S Shirol is a well-known Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon in India, owning Sampige Super-specialty clinic & day care center and Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery in Medical College Hubballi.

He is gentle, compassionate, sympathetic towards poor patients and always updated and approachable.

He has a vast experience in the management of Cosmetic surgical, Cleft lip-palate, Burns, General Plastic Surgical reconstructions. He has special interest in body contouring surgeries, like liposuction, tummy tuck, breast augmentations, and breast reduction surgeries. He has published numerous national and international papers in various sub-specialties. He has described an innovative technique in the surgical management of Gynecomastia (Large male Breast).

He completed MBBS from reputed KLE’s Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum under Dharwad University in the year of 1997, and in the year 2003 he has completed his M.S in General Surgery from Karnataka Medical College (Now KIMS), Hubli under Rajeev Gandhi University, Bangalore. In 2007 he completed his M.Ch in Plastic Surgery from Safdar- Jung Hospital, New Delhi, Under University of Delhi, which is one of the largest plastic surgery department in India.

He started his practice as resident in the Department of Plastic Surgery, in KLE’s Hospital Belgaum in between March 1999 to March 2000, later worked as resident and Post Graduate student of General Surgery at KIMs Hubli from August 2000 to July 2003.He again joined his parent department in KLE as a senior registrar, and worked from November 2003 to March 2004. Later he joined as a Senior Resident and Postdoctoral student in Plastic Surgery, and completed M.Ch from August 2004 to July 2007 at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi.

He took basic training in Micro Vascular Surgery at Ganga Hospital Coimbatore in September 2007. He was an international Observer and Visiting Scholar to the Microsurgery Division of the department of Plastic Surgery at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Taiwan in November 2009. After completion of M.Ch Worked as Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at KLE University Belgaum and also as a consultant Plastic Surgeon at KLE’s SPK Hospital Belgaum, from September 2007 to till August 2012. Now Dr. S S Shirol is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery in a Medical College, Hubli, Karnataka Since September 2012 and Consultant Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon, and proprietor of Sampige Super-specialty clinic and day care centre.
